OUR PROCESS
What to Expect
We understand that you have entrusted us with your vision of happiness in your newly designed space, which is why we don't skip steps. We want to make sure this is a wonderful experience for you. It is our honor and pleasure to walk you through this process. You are in good hands!
Our process consists of 6 phases:
-
Site Meeting
-
Showroom Meeting
-
Design Development
-
Contract Singing / Change Order
-
Final Walk-through and Completion Sign-off
1. Site Meeting
Based on your project requirements, we will set up a site visit to access your existing space, take measurements, pictures, and understand your preferences. If your project is a new construction, your architectural plans and technical drawings will be used for further design development.
2. Showroom Meeting
During the meeting, we will narrow down your preferred options on all design elements and overall plan. If there are elements of the design that need to be refined, researched, or sourced, we will do so quickly and verify your final approval on those items. At this time we will need to sign the Design Agreement.
3. Design Development
Design development is the phase in which we flush out all of the details to develop and finalize structural elements, construction documents, and floor plans. You can expect several meetings during design development to discuss costs, timing, and to approve the final drawings and layouts.
4. Contract Signing / Change Order
As your project is finalized, you will be presented with the contract for your approval. You will need to sign the agreement so your cabinetry can be ordered and your project schedule can be finalized. We streamline this process for you and make sure you have everything you need to give your final approval before starting the project. The contract is binding, but you have 3 days to change your mind.
The prices quoted on the proposal will indicate the most accurate pricing available. In the event that upon-discovery issues occur, a change order may be required. Prior to commencing any work on change orders, all costs will be quoted and signed for your approval.
5. Construction Phase
Due to the variety of trades required, bathroom and kitchen projects can be complex and cost per square-foot is higher than almost any other remodeling project. Rather than contract with multiple trade-specific contractors, many homeowners prefer to hire Mayflower Construction to act as the general contractor to handle all aspects of the project from start to finish. 6. Final Walk-through / Completion Sign-off
Once the project is completed, we will do a final walk-through with you. We will attend to any loose ends right away and leave you to enjoy your newly designed space with your family and friends for years to come!
